I'm trying to figure out why I'm getting a Client check passed/Active in the Unknown tab for the Deployment Status, see screenshot.

I've checked the logs on the target client:
Locationservices.log - Checks out / no red flags
WUAHandler.log - I can see that:
Enabling WUA Managed server policy to use server - correct CM Server
But, the part for Group policy settings... , has the old WSUS server being assigned by a policy.

I'm not sure what policy would this be and where to look. Where would I look

    @Kody

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

    Based on my research, the status of "Unknown"= The site hasn't received any information from the client on or about the specific deployment or activity where this is reported.

    Could we know if we refresh the related policy on our sccm client side after the deployment? If not, please refresh the policy, this action will speed up the receiving of our deployment(Such as the Machine Policy Retrieval &Evaluation Cycle).

    @Fiona Yan-MSFT

    I didn't get a chance to try your suggestion. I think I found a solution after a few more hours in google. I deleted the the registry.pol file from C:\Windows\System32\ GroupPolicy\Machine. I stop and start SMS Agent service, I then then click Run Now, in the Actions tab, the Software Update Scan Cycle and Software Update Deployment Evaluation Cycle. Going back on the Config Mgr. console, the client no longer had an Unknown error but was on the Compliant tab.

    Would it have been easier if I had selected and ran Machine Policy Retrieval &Evaluation Cycle. Would it have updated the registry.pol file? If so, how would I force this action on the Config Mgr console to all the clients / device collection?

    Running the Machine Policy Retrieval &Evaluation Cycle on each client, would it force a reboot to complete the Windows Update or just resolve the issue of Client check passed/Active and move it from the Unknown to the Complaint tab?
