Different cpu-types on vm-clones(sysprep) with the same size

Hello,

i have created some vms from the same image(sysprep), with the same vm-size(Standard_D2s_v3) and in the same region. The problem is, that the cpu-type on some vms is not identical (e.g. Xeon(R) Platinum and Xeon(R) E5-2673 v4 and Xeon(R) E5-2673 v3). I need to setup hardware identical vms. Is it possible to change the cpu-type and how can i setup each vm with the same cpu-type?

Thank you!

Best regards,
Sebastian

    @Sebastian

    As per the document there are multiple CPU types for this SKU. The CPU is allocated based on availability and this is by design. If you are looking for identical hardware VM's then you can check the dedicated hosts if it suits your use case.
    However, you can try to stop start VM and see if you get the same CPU allocated to the VM you are looking for. But, whenever VM moves across hosts the VM rebooted or redeployed or service health is actioned then the VM may pick up a new CPU make.

    Hope this helps.
