update an application

Hi All

i have a third party application pushed through sccm earlier by one of our Admin. The version pushed is v1.0.Now i would like to push v3.0 using sccm.
Before pushing v3.0 i will delete the application v1.0 from sccm.
My requirement is if any server has v1.0 it should be updated to v3.0. if any server doesn't have this software installed, v3.0 should be installed.

for the program detection Rule.
i have set in the below way. will this settings work for me for the above requirement(if any server has v1.0 it should be updated to v3.0. if any server doesn't have this software installed, v3.0 should be installed)

Setting Type: Windows Installer
Product code: {Code}

And

Setting Type: Registry
Hive: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Key:SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall{Code}
Value: DisplayVersion
Date Type: String
This Registry settings must satisfy the following rule to indicate the presence of this application
Operator: Equals
Value: 3.0.0

Hi, @RogerRoger-2394
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.
The detection rule you are setting should work.
But we may set the detection rule more easier:
We can click Browse and select the application v3.0 we are deploying, the version value will set automatically. Then we do not need the Registry detection rule.
