SSMS v18.8 Tab title settings are not changing anything

Dear friends, I'm having problems with changing setting for Tabs display in SSMS v 18.8:

SQL Server Management Studio 15.0.18369.0
SQL Server Management Objects (SMO) 16.100.46041.41
Microsoft Analysis Services Client Tools 15.0.19342.0
Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 10.0.18362.1
Microsoft MSXML 3.0 6.0
Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0.30319.42000
Operating System 10.0.18363

When I go to [Tools -> Options -> Text Editor -> Editor tab and Status Bar] and change the settings under "Tab text" section, nothing is changing on actual tabs. I can still see whole server with database and my login. I've tried with new tabs, also restarted SSMS and nothing. Any ideas? Thank you

Can you share the screenshot and what exactly are you expecting and where? With default settings, I see below details on tab

Hi,

I can see this:

I only want to have SQLQuery6.sql, nothing else. I can see that options allow me to do so, but it's not working for some reason.

Probably the settings do not have effect on tabs that are already opened.

I just updated options like below and without restart or anything, I just clicked on new query and I see just the file name now

Note that I downloaded the latest SSMS today. Maybe restart SSMS or machine once and try again. Also try uninstalling add ins if you have any.

Well it's not really working for me, SSMS and computer restarted. I have newest SSMS installed.

Maybe it's connected with addins I have installed? SSMSBoost and SQL Complete?

Possibly that may be the issue. Sometimes add ins create a problem. You can try reinstalling SSMS and without add ins installed, try to change the settings.

I've just checked on my other computer with clean SSMS and it works indeed. Probably the plugins are the problem.

Thank you for your time.
