EX16 CU11 to CU14 to CU19?

Gurus:

We are running EX16 standalone, single install currently on CU11 and .NET FW 4.7.1. I want to verify our update/upgrade paths with the ultimate goal of installing CU19 on .NET FW 4.8. Here’s how I see it should work for this:
1. Install .NET FW 4.7.2 >Reboot
2. Install CU14 (as Ent Admin member)>Reboot
3. Verify MS/EX services started, CU14 installed and test EX functionality
4. Install .NET FW 4.8 >Reboot
5. Install CU19 (as Ent Admin member) > Reboot
6. Verify MS/EX services, CU19 installed and test EX functionality

You can do that if you have CU14 avail,
but its not required.

Microsoft recommends applying .net 4.8, then upgrading to CU 19 immediately after that:

I was just worried about going directly from CU11 to CU19 directly which might leave room for as Microsoft states "upgrade failure". Anyone had success and or failures doing so?
I do have CU14 so I could do either really? Trying to avoid an upgrade failure but we do and will have backups of system and DB. If it is advised to install CU14 first, I could do that?

Absolutely!
If you have CU14, then use your steps to be safe .
Microsoft put that disclaimer not because it means something will go wrong, but just to cover themselves :)
