Site Recovery process server configuration requirement

I am trying to set up a process server isolated from the configuration server
According to the sizing recommendations i should consider this

however reading a bit more there is a prerequisite for configuration and process server

my question is: what are the disk requirement according to the sizing recommendation, for instance, I should not need a retention drive for the process server

I am following this https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/site-recovery/vmware-azure-set-up-process-server-scale

Thank you for your reply;

This opens a few more questions

for the scale out process server: how many disks do i need (OS, process, retention?) and which size for each configuration

for the CS/PS what is the requirement for OS, retention disk

@PaulFinol-5436 For the CS/PS you will need minimum 2 disks, 3rd disk if you plan to use failback. Size recommendations are mentioned in the docs as you posted.

OS Disk
Cache Disk
Retention Disk (only if failback is required)

For the scale out PS, you need 2 disks only. Scale out PS is not used for failback. Size recommendations are mentioned in the docs as you posted.

OS Disk
Cache Disk

For OS disk size, use recommended OS disk size per OS chosen.

Let me know if you have any doubts.

@PaulFinol-5436 Thank you for your post!

The documentation isn’t 100% clear here, but the first screenshot you posted will be the hardware requirements for the Scale Out process server.
I believe the second screenshot is only there to say that you need to have an existing CS/PS setup with that hardware configuration before you setup an additional scale out process server.
Thus you can follow the recommendation in the first screenshot for hardware requirements.

Sorry for the confusion!

Hope this helps. Feel free to reach out to us if you've additional questions in this regard.
