Does windows support password less hotspot?

I want to create a hotspot in my windows 10 system but it shouldn't be having any authentication. Currently I would see without password I can't create hotspot.

if you are referring to the Mobile Hotspot feature, it is not possible to set up the hotspot without password.

Hi ,

Try to use following command:

netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=anything key=

Keep the key string empty.

If it doesn't work, then there is no build-in way could create a hotspot without password in windows. You need to use some third-party tool to create the hotspot without passwrod.

Already tried this option but didn't work.
It gave error when we run the "netsh wlan start hostednetwork"

What's the exact error message when you run netsh wlan start hostednetwork? Please post it.

Hosted Networks and Ad Hoc Networks are not supported on Windows 10.

Run NETSH WLAN show drivers. If the generated output shows Hosted network supported: Yes. It means wireless adapter supports Hosted Networks.

I know that, but Ad hoc Networks and Hosted Networks are deprecated in Windows 10. In fact, recent wireless network card manufacturers no longer implement the driver for this functionality. You need to use the Windows 10 Mobile Hotspot feature.

When I type in suggested code it says this: The hosted network mode has been set to allow. The SSID of the hosted network has been successfully changed. The user key passphrase of the hosted network has been successfully changed What does this mean did it work I checked the settings and tried to make it no password but it didn't do anything?
