certain userprofile errors

hello,

i have a server at a school running server2016 with about 60 users in AD
a few users aspecially the ones with the most data in their profile are having problems lately,
when they logout and logon back the latest documents and user settings are disappeared.
all profiles are roaming.
when i use local profiles instead of roaming then all users have this problem.

any help is appreciated

Hi,
Before going further, would you please confirm the following questions:
Were the latest documents and user settings lost from the roaming profile (shared folder ) on the file server?
Or just from the local profiles.
It happens for all users when use local profiles instead of roaming ,right?
