Hello Erik Covolo,
In order me to research further, please help to provide the related screenshot and windowsupdate.log.
Thanks for your cooperation and understanding.

Rita
Hi Erik Covolo,
Thanks for your response.
This error occurred when the Windows Server 2012 client tried to get updates from the windows update. I found the below information for your reference:
0x80072F8F -2147012721 ERROR_INTERNET_SECURE_FAILURE ErrorClockWrong One or more errors were found in the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificate sent by the server.
I'm not sure why this issue occurred. But I suspect the issue is related with the TLS 1.2. Perhaps we could refer to the below link to enable the TLS 1.2 first to see whether this issue will be resolved or not:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/core/plan-design/security/enable-tls-1-2-client
Hope the above will be helpful.
Regards,
Rita

Is there additional info in C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log?
If you are just testing, why use 2012? Why not test with 2012 R2 or 2016 or 2019?
No,there isn't additional info on log.
It's not only test but i need to trasfer an appliance from another 2008 r2 server. And the applciance are only compatible with 2012 not 2012 R2
