Unable to use my camera in the Teams pc app

I tried to use the camera in the windows 10 app both for calls and in the preview in settings>devices. In both of them the image was black. I tried a lot of times, closing and reopening the settings panel over and over, and only ONCE I've seen the camera working properly. It was like the fourth time I tried. But then I checked again just to be sure and it was malfunctioning, again.
I checked my camera outside Teams and it works perfectly. I checked if the drivers were uploaded to their last version and they were. I checked the privacy permissions of the camera in the pc settings and they were given. I also checked the media permissions in Teams and it was also ok.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, as I've seen someone recommend here, but it's still worthless. While I was doing this, I tried to use the web version and, to my surprise, the camera worked when I made a call. But unfortunately, the devices option in settings does not exist in the web version, and I use that a lot. I have to use the app every day so I really need it to work properly, I can't just switch to the web version because it lacks a lot of functions. Can anybody help me find a solution for this?

Hi @NAI-3690

Have you tired to use external USB web cam to test if it works?

Can you Teams detect your internal webcam well?

To eliminate whether the issue is caused by software conflicts, please try to perform a clean boot in the affected computer to check if it works.

In addition, you can also try resetting your Camera by following the steps: Open Device Manager, then click the Action menu and select Scan for hardware changes. After completing, you can try again to see the result.

Hi, thank you for answering.

Gladly I found an old external usb camera and Teams has been able to detect it! The computer's camera is still not working, tho, I tried resetting it multiple times without success. But since the external camera worked fine I guess I'll give up trying to fix it. I just hope this one won't stop working in the future.

Thanks for the help!

Hi, have you go thru that ? https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/camera-isnt-working-with-microsoft-teams-heres-the-fix/ar-BB1709WJ IMHO seems like another app is blocking the access to the camera. BTW What camera are you using ?

Best regards

Hi, thank you so much for answering. Unfortunately, none of those sets of instructions worked for me. Most of them I tried more than once but the results were the same.

I'm using the build-in camera from my notebook. It's a Lenovo EasyCamera and its last driver is from 2015 (I tried to download something more recent but seems that Lenovo doesn't work in updates for my computer anymore). It's weird, tho, because I've used this camera in Teams during 2020 and it didn't give me any trouble. I didn't use Teams for the last three months and now the camera isn't working.
