Minecraft for Windows 10

I was looking into cross playing Minecraft with x box and it said to do that I needed to purchased Minecraft for windows 10. I did this only to find out that I cannot play this version on my Mac. I was wondering if I would be able to get refunded for this amount, as I will not be able to use/install this.
