How do I delete a User Account on the Mac app for Remote Desktop?

Hi! Is there a way I can delete User Accounts in Microsoft Remote Desktop? There are a couple with the same names...and I can't figure it out. All help is welcomed!

As a new Mac user, I was looking for this as well. I think that GraceHE-MSFT is probably not what the OP was looking for. To remove a user from the user accounts that are set up in the app "Microsoft Remote Desktop" itself, you open the app, then you go to the title bar at the top of your screen (not at the top of the window), there to the entry "Microsoft Remote Desktop", then "Preferences", and there you'll see "User accounts".

Hi Lindsey,

I had this same issue with my Microsoft Remote Desktop app running on MACOS. With most things apple, the answer is more straightforward than it seems. I've included a screenshot and steps to help you figure this out.

1. Make sure MS Remote Desktop is the active application
2. Using the application menu at the top of your MACOS window, select the menu option for 'Microsoft Remote Desktop'
3. Select the 'settings' option from the flyout window
4. The 'Preferences' window should appear. Switch tabs to 'User Accounts' - see the screenshot attached
5. To remove/delete accounts, highlight the account you want to delete and press the '-' minus button at the bottom left

That should do it. By using the same screen, you can add new user credentials and edit them, including the username and password components. Once I found this dialogue and figured out the steps, I reduced the number of accounts I needed to maintain.

Best of luck with MS Remote Desktop on MACOS. It's a really handy utility when you are managing windows desktops from MAC.
