I recently updated VS for mac to the latest version 8.9 (build 1651) and also Xcode to v12.4 (12D4e).
The problem is that now when I start Visual Studio it keeps showing a message saying that
Xcode is not currently installed or could not be found.
I went to preferences and under Apple SDK i have this path:
I cleared the value, left it blank, saved, restarted visual studio: preferences didn't save and I keep seeing that value
I saved the SDK location as
/Applications/Xcode.app: it says "Xcode 12.4 found at default location", i click OK, restart visual studio and the same error appears. I go to preferences and I still see
So basically I can't run the iOS project because it can't find any simulators.
Did anybody have the same problem? How did you solve it?
Wasting so much time for these issues is so frustrating.
