Rollback Visual Studio Community

Can someone please shine a light on how to rollback VS Community to a previous update?

The https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/visualstudio/releases/2019/history site only tracks Enterprise and Professional editions.

Is it a case of making an offline installer vslayout then using the vs_community 16.9.0 exe on top of the layout to get it back to 16.8.6 for example?

Hi AnthonyGreen,

You need to completely remove existing visual studio community, then download the specified version(enterprise or professional) at that site, then download community under Available tag.

Hey Dylan,

Your solution no longer working for me! I want to downgrade VS Community from 16.11.2 to 16.11.1

Installed VS Professional 16.11.1 successfully, but no Community for that build in available tab

OK, so thanks for this Dylan, that is great.

For info you need to close the first popup window which asks which features to install to be able to get to that screen, then you can select the available option and get to community.
