How is NetworkWatcherRG (resource group) with out any resource in it related to Virtual Network diagram component? If i delete the NetworkWatcherRG the diagram setting will not render anything in the the Vnet Diagram setting and why? Can i consider the a ResourceGroup also as a resource as it is enabling the diagram component in the Vnet ?

    Old question but the answer is pointless if the URL goes dead so adding write up

    How is NetworkWatcherRG (resource group) with out any resource in it related to Virtual Network diagram component?

    Network Watcher is deployed to a default NetworkWatcherRG resource group that Azure service creates when you enable Network Watcher for that subscription. If you see no resources in it you may not have permission to see them.

    If i delete the NetworkWatcherRG the diagram setting will not render anything in the the Vnet Diagram setting and why?

    Deleting the Resource Group removes Network Watcher for that subscription and any other associated resources that NW may have created for that subscription.

    Can i consider the a ResourceGroup also as a resource as it is enabling the diagram component in the Vnet ?

    Once you enable Network Watcher for a VNET a Resource Group named NetworkWatcherRG is created and the Network Watcher resource is added to it.
