How does Excel choose the list of availble signatures when signing a macro

Apologies this feels like a real numpty question, but I've also been up for 22 hours straight now so it may just be brain fog too. When digitally signing a macro in excel it give me the choice to use a single certificate, not one that is used company wide but one issued just to my team. The cert it does choose is in the Intermediate certificate authorities container and in the trusted root certificate authorities container. I have another certificate which is company wide issued that we use for most things it has an <all> for intended purposes which I wish to use instead but it does not appear in the available options for selection. The cert that is available is a server authentication intended purposes.
