Hi,
Would you please try to open CMD as administrator, then run command "vssadmin list writers", check if there's any error, if yes, plesae provide the screenshot of the error message.
Besides, I would like to check that apart from the error message, can we backup the Hyper V server or files successfully?
What's more, please check if the Hyper V host installed the latest windows update, if not, please update it.
Thanks for your time!
Best Regards,
Anne

No errors when ran vssadmin list writers. HyperV server does not require backup because all VMs have Datto backup. Are we safe to ignore 8217. Will this event cause any hang or unexpected restart of the server.
Hi,
Thanks for your feedback.
As far as I'm concerned, if vssadmin list writers have no error and backup also works well. We may monitor the issue, generally, this error won't cause hang or unexpected restart of the server.
Thanks for your time!

Anne
