Blue screen and restart of server and computers (cascade shutdowns)

Dear colleagues,

I've been having involuntary shutdowns on Win Server servers and computers on my network for a few months now (domain).
The shutdowns happen sporadically and in a cascade, and random, that is: Blue screen on a server, which restarts, and then stations start to give a blue screen and restart too.

Hi,

The following are some basic troubleshooting suggestions for reference:
1. Make sure that the hardware driver (including BIOS, firmware) has been updated, and the version of the driver is suitable for the new Windows Server.
2. Use clean boot and safe mode to determine if background programs/drivers are causing interference to the system.
3. Check the system log in the event viewer for other error messages, which may help identify the device or driver that caused the blue screen.

Please understand due to security policy and from our professional level, we do not provide dump/log analysis. In addition, if this problem is more urgent for you I still recommend that you open a case to Microsoft for further professional help.

Hi,

I ended up not mentioning that my system is running Win Server 2003, and Win XP stations. The reason for running an automation system in which the version is based on these operating systems, and updating the machines' OSs would require updating the automation system, which is not economically feasible at this time.

Because of this, I imagine that I will not be able to get support from MS, given that the operating systems I mentioned are no longer supported.
