Hello,

I work for a medical research center which is similar to a college campus. There are different IT groups but all computers are in the same domain. I administer our RDS environment which contains several session hosts, brokers, gateways, a UPD server and one license server.

Another group recently added a server from a vendor to monitor our freezer environment. Freezers are used for biological samples etc.. Anyway, they need to have multiple users access the server at any time of the day. They want to configure the server to be an RDS server/RDS licensing manager. My team does not want to add the server to our RDS environment because we do not want the responsibility of maintaining a vendor owned server.

My questions is, can a single domain have two different RDS License servers and serve two different RDS environments?

Thanks,

Tyler

    Hello @TYLER BARWICK

You can run two RD Licensing servers and you can have 2 RDS deployments on the same domain.

Please refer to this thread: two rds deployments in single domain

Thank you for replying and providing the link. I have successfully added another RDS license manager to our domain and it does not interfere with the other.

    Thanks again,

    Tyler
