Windows Installer... Server 2012 R2

Hello all As a new member, I am we ran into a problem and stuck with this below message on the Server while installing/uninstalling any software... "Another program is being installed. Please wait until that installation is complete, and then try to install the software again" with Windows Server 2012 R2. I am searching online but no luck yet. Any advise would be appreciated. Thank you, Inayat

Hello and thank you very much.

Yes after reboot the server couple of times everything is normal.

Not sure what caused the problem but it works now.

I really appreciate all your help.

Hi,

Thanks for posting in Q&A platform.

Please try to stop the Windows Installer Service first, it may be caused by windows is installing updates in the backgroud.

Might check for and delete
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\InProgress

then reboot.
