How to transfer Edge session to IE

Web application contains link to another legacy application. Compatibility mode has been set to open in IE. When opening in IE, the session is not transferred from source Edge web application page. How to resolve it? Please advise.

@RajaramThulasiramanAP-9851,

Do you mean when the application gets launched in the IE browser, it again asks for an authentication?

If yes, then I suggest you try to configure the IE mode in the Edge browser. Then the legacy site will get launched in the IE mode within the Edge browser.

Further, you need to share session cookies from MS Edge to the IE browser.

To get detailed information about sharing session cookies, I suggest you refer to the links below.

  1. Cookie sharing from Microsoft Edge to Internet Explorer

  2. How cookie sharing works

Yes, again asks for authentication. Referred and followed the configuration and issue resolved. Thanks.
