Azure Free Trial no access not admin

Hello. I started a free Azure trial because I am using Active Directory for my bachelor thesis.
I signed up with my school email and I am the owner of the account.
I checked the Subscriptions and have confirmed that it says that I am the admin, and I have access to everything.
However, it seems that I am still not the admin of my account?
I don't have access to Active Directory, and it seems I don't have access to anything.
I read one tip that you could change some setting in User Settings, but when I try to access User Settings Azure tells me I am not an admin account and I don't have access.
I tried to make a new tenant, but to make a tenant it seems I have to have access to Active Directory.
I tried to make a new account with an email not affiliated with my school, but it says I am not allowed, probably because my information is already used for the first account.
Someone else had the same problem and deleted their first account, but it made no difference when they tried to make a new one. So this is not a solution.
Can anyone help me with this?
It just does not make any sense to me. Why not give me the permissions I need when I am the owner of the account?

Thank you for the reply.
I have seen this, but as I mentioned, I don't have access to Active Directory.
All solutions I could find provides solutions with the use of services I could not access, including Active Direcory.
I went into Subscriptions -> My Subscription, my email is listed as owner of the account.
From there I went into Access Management and checked my roles. I am listed as Service Administrator with full access to all resources.
Here I gave myself the additional role of Owner and some other administrator roles.
I still don't have access.
My directory is listed as my school. Can this be the problem? Am I trying to access my schools AD?
I tried to change directory, but I can't as I don't have any directories to change to.
I don't have access to create new directories, as I don't have access to Active Directory.

Hi,

I have a same problem. I signed up with my university email and it sounds that I don't have access to Active Directory, and it seems I don't have access to anything. I thought that maybe because of the reason that I signed with school email, but when I sign up with another email it says that I am not eligible for free Microsoft azure account. Do you know how I can solve this? I really appreciate your response.

Hi @TE-5059,

Since you used your school account you are experiencing this issue. You can create a new tenant (you will find this option under Azure AD- Overview). With this now your school account will have access to two tenants (your school where you will not have much access as you dont own it and other is new tenant you create where you will be owner)

Now transfer the trail subscription to new tenant. You will find this option under subscriptions - overview -change directory. Once this is done you should be able to access active directory and create resource etc.

I hope this helps.

Thanks,
Rahul

Hi,

I have the same issue in Microsoft Azure. I signed up with my school email. it seems that I am still not the admin of my account
I don't have access to Active Directory, and it seems I don't have access to anything. when I click on the Active Directory, it shows that "you do not have access". Error code 403.
Your solution is creating a new tenant and finding this option under Azure AD- Overview. But the problem is that Active Directory is not opened. When I click on Active Directory Error 403 comes up, I do not have access to it.
I highly appreciate your help in advance.

Hello,

I signed up with my school email on Microsoft Azure. I need to get my IDs to start the program.
My issue is that I don't have access to Active Directory, and it seems I don't have access to anything.
I read one tip that you could change some setting in User Settings, but when I try to access User Settings Azure tells me I don't have access. Active Directory is not opened. When I click on Active Directory, Error 403 comes up, and I do not have access to it.
Can anyone help me with this?
