Office 2016 Office Template Library not showing

Some users in my organization who use Office 2016 Home and Business cannot display the asset library when they open Word, PowerPoint or Excel and select New option.

But the accounts in my organization that have Apps for Business features can see the library and use it. It was working fine previously and in the past week this issue suddenly occurred.

Could you please give some suggestion on above information?

Our use case is open Powerpoint and login as an other user against another tenant.
We have the same issue, web works, with desktop app not visible, we found it works for spo admins, settings , permissions checked, created from scratch with premier support, fiddler traces shared, last info from support we are not alone.

@CG-3099

Could you please go to one app of Office 2016 Home and Business > File > Account, take a screenshot of Product Information which include the version number?
Please note, cover any account email information.

Then I would suggest these users go to Account on the interface above > Manage Settings under Account Privacy, ensuer all the boxes of Connected experiences are ticked.

Besides, please check whether they can download some Office templates from https://templates.office.com.
If yes, users can move templates to templates folder, such as for 64-bit Office 2016 which uses English, the path is C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\Templates\1033, and %appdata%\Microsoft\Templates\ .
(Please note, "1033 folder" is the LCID folder, you may refer to "Language identifiers" to check the LCID.)
Then check this issue again.

If nothing helps, I suggest you perform a repair Office from Contrl Panel.
Or let the users uninstall Office and reinstall Office for a check.

Any updates, you may post back.

Thanks for your explanation.

the accounts in my organization that have Apps for Business features

Could you please share us the version name of these Office they are using?

According to the article you shared above, if you want to load Office templates form SharePoint, you need Microsoft 365 apps.

Besides, I do the test on my environments. One environment has Office Home and Business 2016 installed, another one has Microsoft 365 apps for enterprise installed. Then I log the same account which created an organization assets library on SharePoint into these Office, the Office template library does not show on Office 2016 either, but show on Microsoft 365 apps.
