When you create a Unix/Linux Process Monitoring Template and enable the 'UNIX/Linux Process Percent Processor Time Collection' performance collection rule created by the template.
I'm looking for the calculation used by the rule to gather the average value it uses to display the data. The rule description states
This rule collects the percent processor time (user + system) for the monitored process. If multiple instances of the process exist, the percent processor time is averaged for all instances.
Does anyone have the URL or detail where this is detailed.
