Office isn't licensed properly and you might be a victic of software counterfeiting. Stay Safe with genuine Office today.

I bought a license from Amazon in 2019 for Office 2019 Professional and I have been using it with no issues, but today it has started to show a bar to suggest this is not licensed properly. I go to Account in Excel (the program I spotted this in) and it shows Product Activated. I saw on line somewhere to run "cscript.vbs /dstatus" and this has shown some alarming things. ![77532-cscript.jpg][1] [1]: /answers/storage/attachments/77532-cscript.jpg It shows a BETA Expiration Date (of 01/01/1601?) and a Grace before expiring. After buying this, I was directed to downloading an Activation program and did not receive a license number to enter. Does this mean I was sold an illegitimate version of Office? I am hoping this is not the case as I use Excel a lot and hate to think I have illegal software on my computer. I thank any responses.

I hope I have tagged this correctly. I tried to enter Office but the options that appeared did not seem to fit but the form would not allow me to submit with out a tag.

Thank you.

I have since removed 2019 and signed up for 365 and cut my losses. Looking further into this since it cost me £50-£60 in 2019 I probably should have realised it was maybe not legit.
