Teams room audio not available

Hi,

when I click Meet now from Teams Calender I cannot see room audio for som persons. It worked fine, and stopped work suddenly.

We are also having this issue. I was told this is a global issue. Besides this post, I haven't been able to find any thing else on this issue. We have clients that use this function and now they can't. Please provide any documentation you may have.

I also got the same answer, product team is aware of the problem and is currently investigating a fix but there is no ETA.
If/when I get an update from them, I will post here.

Same issue here. Support case already opened for several weeks now.

Some workarounds that may help:

  • Join the meeting from your PC, invite the room and accept on the room device, leave the meeting from your PC

  • Join via the Teams web client, it's still working there to add a room ad-hoc.

  • Forward the Teams invite to the room or book the room with a Teams meeting invite

So my guess is also that it is a Windows Teams client issue.

I've got the same issue but
you may know that if you activate the bluetooth on the room, the room nearby you will appears in your teams desktop

in order the room to be announced, you can do it through skypesettings.xml file


<BluetoothAdvertisementEnabled>true</BluetoothAdvertisementEnabled>


to automatically log the new session
<AutoAcceptProximateMeetingInvitations>true</AutoAcceptProximateMeetingInvitations>


This seems to be different from the distribution group of the room that it is used in the team on the web application

Nevertheless to get the room you need to activate the bluetooth on the computer too.

I do not know if the distribution list must be analysed to provide the result, I'm still waiting for answer from MS.

I just got an update from Microsoft Support informing me that the Teams product team are currently beta testing a fix for the issue. The expected release time for the fix is during Q2 2021. Microsoft Support has closed my support case as there is no more they can do, but are waiting for this feature being released.

To me it seems like Microsoft have changed something which have broken this feature so they have had to re-invent the feature, which is probably why this is taking so long and going through longer beta testing phases.

Hi all,

I noticed a Teams update came through recently, I am on version 1.4.00.19572 (64-bit) - You have Microsoft Teams Version 1.4.00.19572 (64-bit). It was last updated on 02/08/2021.

Looks like the issues is fixed. When joining a meeting from my desktop, I can now see "Room Audio" suggestions for devices that are not close to my machine.

This issue has popped up for me, have set up 4 rooms recently and the latest two are not listed for me, other users are only seeing the one that was set up first. Anyone else seeing this recently?

Same issue. Some rooms are shown (I think my last used rooms via bluetooth), but the complete Room List is missing. So if your bluetooth won't work correctly you are unable to join the meeting via "Room Audio" on your laptop.

On my iOS I can choose any room of the address book. The browser client can show the adress lists corretly and I can pick up the right room easily.
