hyper-v manager virtual machines Disappear on upgrade, that are not in default location

  • hi for the last 6 month or so

  • when a windows 10 upgrade comes. it removes all Virtual machines that are not in default location.

  • and I have to Import them again and pick have existing ID.

  • this Crashes the import , says already exists .

  • this makes the machine show up again in list.

  • could you fix this annoying bug.

From your description, we find the issue is related to Hyper-v, I would remove the tag of "msc-virtual-machine-manager-hyper-v", which represents deploying Hyper-v in SCVMM. Thanks!

What is the upgrade of the Windows 10, Windows 10 1709 or others?

After research, I found there are some similar cases that VMs disappear after upgrading to Windows 10 1709.
