Hi,
Welcome to share here!
When you assign the permissions under the security lab, would you please confirm you select the "This folder, subfolders and files" for the apply to option ,as following:
Also, the group is created when you assign the permission, the user need to refresh the group membership by logoff and logon again.
Best Regards,
How can i share a folder to a specific Active Directory group ?
Hi,
I'm desperately trying to learn how to do good sharing through my Windows Server but it's impossible to understand how such a simple thing can be so complicated.
I want to share a simple folder to only for an Active Directory group which is "Technicien"
I have the Technician file:
- Sharing done via "Advanced Sharing" by putting "Everyone" in full control
- Disabling inheritance + addition of the Technician group in at least reading rights in the "Security" tab
- I can check rights via "effective access" in the security settings which tells me that everything is OK
- In practice on my client I see the file but I cannot access it
There is a logic or a mechanism that I do not understand / know!
These are the basics to have when you want to start managing Windows servers and it really bothers me not to understand that.
Thank you in advance.

Thank you for your answer :)
Yes i can confirm this permissions but when i change a permissions i click on Apply and wait 10sc to check on my client without Logoff, it is wrong ? To replicate correctly my rights i have to logoff my user client everytime ?
