CPUs suppoted by Windows 10

Hello,

May I ask a question about Windows 10 support for CPU generation? I look at the link, Windows processor requirements. It says, for example, Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 1809 supports up through the following 10th generation Intel processor. I take it as 10th generation or older. Does it mean even 1st/2nd generations are supported?

Regards

The OS doesn't have generational requirements. It has family (eg. Core i3+) and speed (eg. 1.7 Ghz) requirements. The generation doesn't matter unto itself so yes 1-2 would be fine.

As defined here Win10 requires a 1Ghz processor or faster so provided it meets the speed it is fine. Note that it doesn't mean it'll run well, just that it runs.

Note the link you gave isn't for running consumer copies of WIn10. It is for OEMs, it looks like.

For the Intel i-Series, it is from Gen 1 to the state generation number. I have an i3 2nd generation laptop that is running the latest Windows 10.
