Mapped Network Disconnect in Reboot- Windows Server 2008

Hello,

I have a server that runs in a Windows Server 2008 SP2,

and I have a mapped network that is working fine, but I never achive to resolve this problem.

Each time I reconnect to my account in that server the Mapped Network is disconnect, sure that if a click there its promp a login with the credencial already there, but I realy need that when I reconnect with my account the Mapped Network Folder is connected without the need to confirm the credencial already stored in Windows Credencials.

I have already try the cmd "net use xxx /persistent:yes, and this don't work.

Can I you help ?

Thank you!

Hi,

Thanks for posting in Q&A platform.

Please remove the saved credential and add it again to see if the issue can be resolved. If the issue still existed, please help confirm and check the following details.

May I know if your issue is one of scenarios as below:

  1. System Tray notification displays "Could not reconnect all network drivers" + "click here to check the status of your network drives."

  2. Red X on mapped network drive in Windows Explorer indicating that the drive is "disconnected" / "unconnected" until the logged on user clicks on the such mapped network drives.

  3. Mapped Network Drives appear as "unavailable" when enumerated by "NET USE" from the CMD prompt / command prompt

  4. Clicking on shortcuts located in the start menu, taskbar or desktop that reference executable or data files on disconnected network drives fail with the following error:
The item '<name or .exe or data file referenced in shortcut'> that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly

If yes, here is an article provides a workaround for the issue that mapped network drive may fail to reconnect in Windows 10, you could refer to this workaround to see if the issue can be resolved:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-US/troubleshoot/windows-client/networking/mapped-network-drive-fail-reconnect

Sunny
