Hybrid Exchange

Do I need a load balancer for hybrid Exchange deployments? In the Hybrid Agent guide it states:

You can use the Hybrid Management PowerShell module to configure your Hybrid Agent(s) to direct requests to your load balancer instead of a specific Exchange Client Access Server. The Hybrid Agent supports routing requests to the load balancer for Exchange Server 2013 or later Client Access Servers. Exchange Server 2010 Client Access Servers aren't supported.

If you direct request to a specific CAS, does this mean there is no redundancy?

Exchange is not currently supported here on QnA. I'd try asking for help in dedicated forums here.
