Hi,

We are migrating to Windows Defender ATP service for our 2008R2, 2012R2, 2016 and 2019 servers.

The 2019 servers on-board fine into Security center but we have issues with the earlier versions :

For Windows Server 2016 we install the Windows Defender feature and then install the Monitoring agent, after around 10 minutes we see the 2016 server in Security Center however there is no option to run an Antivirus scan on the server - the option is not there like it is with the 2019 servers.

For the Windows Server 2008R2 and 2012R2 Servers we install the Systems Center Endpoint Protection agent and then install the Monitoring agent, again we see the device onboard but there is no option to run a Antivirus scan.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Best Regards,
Bill

    Hello,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!

Currently, Microsoft Q&A supports the products listed over here: supported topics (more to be added later on).

Your question about Microsoft Defender ATP is not supported yet now. You could ask about this in Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) Support forum.

    Thank you.
