Problems setting up Outlook

Hi, I am trying to get Outlook to receive and send emails but although it shows both email addresses in the side bar no email comes in or seems to be sent. I went through the auto set up and now it won't let me go to advanced settings as it says the addresses are already set up. I am a complete idiot when it comes to this kind of thing so simple answers would be really appreciated. Thank you.

Hi @JulietPatrick-9091,

I noticed that you have configured your accounts in Outlook client and it just couldn't send/receive messages, in this case, we could first check the working status of outlook client via the bottom right corner of Outlook (normally it could display connected/connected to server or others). Also, have you tried to send/receive your message manually in your Outlook via F9 or send/receive icon 79455-snipaste-2021-03-19-10-30-32.jpgon the upper left corner of Outlook, did it display any errors after that?

And then, in order to further confirm if your issue is related to your Outlook, whether all your accounts configured on your Outlook couldn't work normally or it just occurred on this account that you first configured?

If it only occurred the accounts that you first configured, it may be related to your account or configuration in Outlook. So what's the type of your account(pop, imap, exchange)? As I know, for these configured accounts in Outlook, we could change account setting via File>Account settings>Account settings>double-click your account>change your settings.
If that's invalid, we could also try to configure the account manually in a new Outlook profile via control panel>mail>show profiles> Add>type a new profile name>manual setup or additional server types>configure your account.

If it didn't occur on this accounts that you just configured only, the issue may be more related to your client, so what's the version of your account client (File>Office account>About Outlook)? And have you performed any specific operations before this issue occurred? In order to avoid the interference of Outook add-ins or other programs, we could also try to close other programs and restart your Outlook in safe mode to check(Windows + R> type"outlook.exe /safe">enter)

If your issue has any update, please feel free to post back.

Update - I can see from my webmail that the email is sending, and I can see it in my online inbox.
