Azure Managed Instance - PITR GB Pricing question

We are planning to migrate our SQL Server dbs to SQL Managed Instance. I was trying to get the Azure Pricing estimate for MI.

Please see attached mi-1.jpg.

THe Azure Pricing Calculator asks for size in GB for PointinTIme Restore. What does this size mean?
We have 10dbs , the combined size of all 10 is around 500gb.
THere is no explanation on this. Please can someone help?

@MSProg-4478

The price is for the storage cost of the back ups depending on which primary location you have your resource in and redundancy you have as described here.

Thanks Navetej. The question was more around what Strorage size i should input for PITR in the price calculator. As i said, the combined size of my databases is around 500GB. and i would like a PITR for 14 days.
2 questions:
1) how do we derive this size to input into price calculations? should it be 500GB the same as current size?or it should be double 1000GB as i input on the pic above?
2) Where do i configure this 14days as the short term retention for PITR?

we are not interested in the LTR for now. Please can suggest for the above 2 items

Thanks

For the first question, it is very difficult to pin point the excess back up storage needed. This document tries to explain this in detail. Please go through the document and let us know if any questions.

Secondly for retention period, please check this document on how you can change the same.

Hope this this answers your questions.
