How to disable Office 2019 Updates Available Message

Hello - I'm in the process of rolling out Microsoft Office 2019 to 200+ users, leveraging SCCM, and just noticed a message in my system tray stating that there are Office Updates Available. This message is not to be confused with a similar banner that may appear in Outlook or possibly other Office related applications. I did encounter that issue during my preliminary testing but was able to resolve by creating the following reg key to disable: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Office\16.0\common\officeupdate Value Name = hideupdatenotifications Value data: 1 Since I've added the above key, I no longer see the banner that once appeared in Outlook but now I'm noticing the following: ![79367-image.png][1] Does anyone know of a reg key that will allow me to disable this message completely? As stated above, we're a SCCM shop so ideally I would like the updates to install via SCCM so that we have more control over what updates we are allowing into our environment. Not sure if the picture attached correctly but I've added the verbage of the message below. Thank you kindly for any and all assistance. Office Updates Available We need to close your Office apps to install the updates. @OmarJohnson-8366
Did you set the update deadline for Office?
According to the article "End-user update notifications for Microsoft 365 Apps", the Hide update notifications setting doesn't hide notifications related to deadlines.

Please also go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\ClickToRun\Updates, check the values of "UpdatesBlockedTime" and "UpdatesReadyToApply" are 0.
(Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Before you modify it, please back up the registry for restoration in case problems occur.)

Any updates, please let me know.

Hi emilyhua-msft -

Thank you kindly for your response. Coincidentally, we have an update in Software Center, Office 2019 Perpetual Client, that essentially updates the exact keys you mentioned above. I've tested with a couple of end users and after reboot, the keys were either added with those values or updated to those same values. This weekend we're rolling out updates to all end users so I'm hoping by Monday this is no longer an issue.

Thank you again for pro tip!

Kindest regards.
