Unsealed MPs in XML are importable? Are default MPs enough to monitor?,.. what other minimum MPs need to be imported? Why are MP downloaded as MSI format?,... expected MPD format?

Exported unsealed MP of which only one exported as MPD. The rest of the unslealed MPs exported as XMLs. Many of the unsealed MPs are custom override MPs. Ae the unsealed MPs in XML importable into SCOM 2019?

Can the default MPs which come with the installation of SCOM 2019 sufficient to monitor by themselves without any additional MPs imported? Are there certain MPs (not default MPs ) which have to be downloaded then imported for monitoring to work.

Noticed MPs from microsoft are in the MSI format,... when the executables are run on the SCOM Management Server what does this install on SCOM Management Server (Ops Console),... do I still have to import a MP manually? What do these MSI do?

You won't monitor much with only the basic MPs. Only you can know what additional MP you need, depending on what software you want to monitor...

MSI files are only self-extracting archives, they don't actually install anything. You can run them wherever you want and then copy the MP files to wherever-else you want. You still need to import the MP files to SCOM afterwards.
