File Management Task - exclude file from monitoring

Hello all,
I've created a home folder in the file server for the users of my company so they can store safely their files. This folder has been mapped to their PCs via GPO. Nevertheless, we want to keep tracking what is stored in those folders and delete them after a period of time , let's say 2 months. At the same time they should store there a file extension which should remain in the folder all the time and not deleted. Tried different options but the outcome is always the same. When then file management task is running it deletes all the files including the one that shouldn't. Is there any option to exclude the file I want, from scanning and deletion?

    Hi,

As far as I know, there seems no such settings to exclude the dedicated file. Maybe we need a customization script.

    Thanks for your time!
    Best Regards,
    Anne

    Hello,

I was afraid that I am going to hear this answer :) . Since I am not familiar with scripting do you have maybe any source where I can have a look about it? Search to google redirects to different solution which are a little bit confusing, to be honest.
