Word Document into a Web Page in Sharepoint

I am looking to create a simple web page in Sharepoint. I want to simply take an existing word document, convert it to html, and then upload that page to sharepoint to have it display as a web page. How do I do this? I can copy and paste into a wiki page, but doesn't give me what I want.

To convert Word documents into HTML files, you may refer to this artcile "Save a document as a webpage".
But, based on my knowledge, the format of page on SharePoint is .aspx.

I find a thread, you may have a look, "Cant get html file to open in sharepoint".
(Please Note: Since the web site is not hosted by Microsoft, the link may change without notice. Microsoft does not guarantee the accuracy of this information.)
Besdies, if you have further questions related to SharePoint, I would suggest you post a new thread on Q&A forum with tag "office-sharepoint-online".

Thanks for your understanding.

Hello,

Might not have made myself clear. I know how to convert a word to HTML. That's the easy part. I am looking to take that document and create a page on Sharepoint. For example, I can copy and paste word into a Sharepoint Wiki to create a page, but it doesn't take all the elements. Even the simple ones like "shading".

How can I take that simple word HTML document and upload that file to be a web page? any idea?

Thanks for your explanation.
I think this issue is more realted to SharePoint.
If you are using SharePoint Online, please post a new thread on Q&A forum with tag "office-sharepoint-online".
Besides, the tag "office-sharepoint-server-itpro" is for SharePoint Server.

Thanks for your unserstanding.

As I did not find your new post on Q&A forum, I want to confirm that do you have any issues for my previous reply?
If you want to upload a file to SharePoint as a web page, it's best to post a new question with the tag of SharePoint, then then will be the correct team to help you.
