OneDrive - Andriod - All files are Read-only

Hi.

I have installed and configured OneDrive for my Windows 10 and Android devices.

OneDrive at Windows 10 is working perfect, but all files at my Android device is read-only.

How can I edit file live, like at my Windows 10 devices?

Samsung Galaxy S10e (SM-G970F/DS)
Android version: 11
Android OneDrive version: 6.26

Up to 10 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 3.0 MiB each and 30.0 MiB total.

This was the last straw honestly. It's been the most painstaking process to try to keep this package of software working between PC and other devices. I don't use office enough to really justify keeping it if this kind of crap keeps happening. I usually say buy premium, buy once cry once, you get what you pay for. Not so with this, I am done, I'll grind my teeth with converting files and google docs. I don't care anymore it's the principle of the matter at this point, they've got a stranglehold on many things I know but this will be one less thing.

You cannot edit files directly from the OneDrive app, you have to use the Office mobile app for that. And in order to edit files in the Office app, you need a valid/qualifying Office 365 subscription: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/what-you-can-do-in-the-office-apps-on-mobile-devices-with-a-microsoft-365-subscription-9ef8b63a-05fd-4f9c-bac5-29da046833ea

I've followed everything above - downloaded office on my android device, got a subscription, opened the file... It still only opens in read only. I can't edit my own word doc and I have no idea why.

Unfortunately, I must find an alternative to OneDrive, because I don’t have a subscription. Anyway. Thanks for fast answer.

Hi @BlazTU-3060,
I suggest you give a feedback to OneDrive uservoice forum: https://onedrive.uservoice.com/
This is a way for users give feedback to Microsoft when using product, hope it's helpful.
