Comments on Email Notification

Hello,

I have a SharePoint 2010 Workflow that automates emails to various individuals.

  1. The process is that an individual enters the initial information.

  2. This information is then sent via an email workflow to another individual.

  3. Various comments can be entered by other individuals.
3a. I would like to send emails identifying the change
3b. I would also like to include ALL comments that have been added to the original record.

Can and how is this accomplished?

Up to 10 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 3.0 MiB each and 30.0 MiB total.

Do you mean to make comments in the email that has been sent, and then synchronize the comments to the original record?

I wanted to include the various comments associated with the original record.

You could take a reference to the SharePoint approval workflow and set these options as the workflow start options.

Then the workflow will be triggered automatically when a new item is created or an item is updated.

Hello @AmosWu-MSFT

I do have those selected so the workflow is triggered on changes. However, I still want the Comments to print with the email (if possible).

Is that an option?

Thanks

After the comments column has been updated, new emails can be sent to include new comments, but old emails cannot be synchronized to the new comments.
