VS2019 and Git 2.31.0. Error encountered while fetching: Failed to fetch from the remote repository. But there is no error in the output window.

I am running into an error when trying to fetch from my remote repository.

"Error encountered while fetching: Failed to fetch from the remote repository. See the Output window for more details.
Failed to fetch from the remote repository. See the Output window for more details."

This is directly from the output window, and there are no more details.

I have tried removing my credentials and working through this advice and nothing worked.

Maybe you should select something else from “Show output from:” dropdown list in Output window.
