Teams room can't join meeting created from outside of the domain

Hello!
Is situation like this possible:
1. Person outside of MTR owner domain creates meeting and invites MTR to this meeting.
2. MTR accepts this invitation automatically and meeting is visible on MTR touchpanel (in this particular case we have Crestron UC-Engine).
3. People who want to participate in meeting just click Join on MTR touchpanel.

Right now our customer has situation like this:
1. Invitations from domain works fine.
2. Invitations from outside of domain can invite MTR but meeting is seen as "offline" and cannot be joined.

@PMiel-1420

Are you join the third-party meetings?

If so, please make sure you have followed these steps:

1.Allow calendar invite processing for third-party meetings.

2.Configure Office 365 Threat Protection and link rewrite.

3.Enable third-party meetings on device.

For more details about it, you can refer to:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/rooms/third-party-join

If the above suggestion is not work for you, I have some question that need you to confirm:

1.Have you tried Daniel’s suggestion to add tenant as guest?

2.Are there any error messages when customer join Team meeting?

Hi @JimmyYang-MSFT @DanielOvadiaonmicrosoft-6336

We may have a similar issue.

We have a "MS Teams approved" Yealink system set up as a room/resource called “boardroom” (with full email address and MS teams active user status).

The issue occurs when we receive a MS Teams invite arranged by an external organisation. We can’t “bring in” the "boardroom" to join the meeting. When using the share invite box in the participants pane, the boardroom is selected and requested to join, but it rejects the call (despite having an open calendar). This happened again today.

The strange thing is that our general manager (who has Admin access to MS 365 Manager) was in an externally arranged Teams meeting last week (and managed to request our boardroom to join successfully while in the meeting).

A few days ago, we asked the external organisation to try and invite our boardroom (but the invite was not accepted, so we hoped we would just be able to invite the boardroom when the meeting started earlier today...which did not work).

Today we looked In the MS 365 Manager settings (can't remember which one) we have enabled an option we think may allow external organisations to invite our boardroom (we don't know if this will work yet though).

We are wondering if this is a "permissions issue" (e.g. our manager managed to invite our boardroom) or something relating to how the boardroom makes itself available to internal versus externally arranged meetings?

Any suggestions would be appreciated (as we had to "embarrassingly" leave the meeting and send out the meeting invite ourselves to bring in our conferencing resource). I'm not an IT person (so please be gentle in any reply).

Many thanks,

Rich...
