I am looking to set up a process with Microsoft Teams where we set up different extension numbers and forward each extension number externally to different phone numbers. Is this possible? Do each user with extension number need to have a phone system and calling plan license?
I know that auto attendant can redirect calls externally but there is only 9 different dial keys to redirect. I have multiple users who do not need a calling plan as they will never be calling out but need to receive redirected calls. For example, an auto attendant account set up with a phone number. User calls the auto attendant, extension 123 will be forwarding to External User A, another caller calls extension 234 will be forwarding to External User B.
