Does the Display Field work inthe Unattend?

I've never used the Display settings in 7.) Oobe System before.
I entered 144 in DPI (which I found is 150%, I added 1920 horiz and 1200 vert.

These settings do not get applied. Is this setting just not functional anymore?
I have one Task Seq where every pc that comes up should have those settings applied...
but it doesn't seem to take.

Typically the machine will automatically pick the "recommended" Display settings for you once in Windows and has the Video Drivers installed.

Do you have some unique hardware that you want to pick a specific resolution for?

Hi, @RickSomeone-1151
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.
MDT 2012/2013 defaults the screen resolution to 1024 x 768, but can be customized in CustomSettings.ini, and for the models you want to have screen resolution autodetection enabled on, simply set the screen resolution to a really low value. This will force Windows setup to autodetect the resolution.

We do have software on our Panasonic Toughbook Models that require 150% and 1920x1200.
What is the purpose of the unattend display settings if they never get applied?

I know the CustomSettings takes priority over the unattend, and the TS settings take over the CS.INI.

However, how can I set the TS settings for the display? If I add the settings to my CS.INI then all models will get that setting unless I further separate by model. But I can add settings to the TS for that specific Task just for the Panasonics.

Hi, @RickSomeone-1151
If we do not want to specify resolution in the CustomSettings.ini for all the models.
We may try to just delete the values for screen resolution in the unttend.xml file. By doing this, when you deploy, the setup routine will try to find the best resolution settings for the video card installed.

If we want to set the TS for the display, we may need a script.

Thank you. The link doesn't work. But I have deleted the 'display' in all of my unattend files and just recently added one back. It does not apply during the deploy, the pc has a much larger resolution and is grayed out.

Since I'm fairly convinced the display in the unattend doesn't really function, I was looking for a way perhaps in the CS.INI but then I'd have to set it up so only our Panasonic models would get that setting, and that I'm not familiar with.
