Fastboot.sys consumes high memory and i want to remove this driver. How can i do that?

Fastboot.sys (FBr0) and an unknown driver consumes approximately 7 GB. How can i remove Fastboot.sys and how can i find unknown driver's name? In settings, I disabled Fast Boot but i can't find anything like Fast Run or Fast Boot in BIOS. I have used sfc /scannow and DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth commands but nothing changed. In total i have 16 GB memory (8x2). Thanks in advance. I have asked in Microsoft Community but they suggested that i should ask in here.

Are you using Windows 7 or Windows 10?
Since when this problem started?
Are you able to locate these in the Task Manager?

I am Win10 home user. I don't know when this problem started. It's driver so they don't seem in Task Manager. Previous talkings and pictures are in here: https://answers.microsoft.com/tr-tr/windows/forum/all/unknown-driver-in-windows-assessment-and/52f7d673-594e-4470-ac63-d6488d8dada2

As far as I know, The fastboot.sys driver preloads files that Windows is known to need on startup. It only uses memory that would otherwise be unused and the driver releases the memory as soon as either they are no longer helpful or the system is under memory pressure. To remove fastboot.sys, we can go to C: windows>system32>drivers to find fastboot.sys and then delete it. If you can’t delete it, you can rename its suffix, .sys to .txt. The memory will be made available for other uses as soon as it is needed for another use. There is no problem to solve. For the unknown driver that consumes your memory, you can use a tool called Poolmon when you feel the driver is using your memory to detect it. How to use poolmon, please see:

I was hesitated about removing a system file. I removed fastboot.sys but you should've warned me about that i need format then! I thought i broke my PC. And this sentence "It only uses memory that would otherwise be unused and the driver releases the memory as soon as either they are no longer helpful or the system is under memory pressure." is just a stuff. I saw this sentence one more time. Because i tested and fastboot.sys has no capability to release memory that it consumes. Eventually, i have no issue anymore and memory usage has reduced to 4 GB. Thanks.

I am sorry about the troubles, because when I checked the fastboot.sys file, it seems that it is a three-party driver file, not a system file. It's usually just for the startup, and normally we don't change it. If we want to delete it, we can try to delete it under that folder. If you cannot boot after deleting, you can go into safe mode to see if it can be started, or use the system ISO image to help boot. Anyway, I'm glad to hear that your problem has been solved. Thanks for your sharing and reminding.
