On Prem Public Folder Calendar Duplicates Personal Calendar in O365 webmail

I have an on premise exchange 2016 CU 20 server in a hybrid environment w/ 365. when my migrated 365 users view our on prem public folder calendars in their outlook client, everything looks correct, all appointments show up. when they favorite that calendar and go into outlook on the web for 365, then click on the radio button for that public folder calendar, their personal calendar items are duplicated, but no public folder appointments are displayed. this is the case for all my migrated users, for all pf calendars using different web browsers. i have attached some screen shots to demonstrate the issue. ![82357-calendar-example-1.jpg][1] ![82511-calendar-example-2.jpg][2] [1]: /answers/storage/attachments/82357-calendar-example-1.jpg [2]: /answers/storage/attachments/82511-calendar-example-2.jpg

on Prem Public Folders are not replicated to 365 intact, only as a mail-user, nor is directly accessing an on-prem Public Folder from 365 OWA supported:

Hi @FreeExchange-1514

Did you download and run the sync scripts in your environment and configure the Exchange Online organization and to allow access to the Exchange Server public folders previously?

Here is the official document introduces about enabling Exchange Online users to access on-premises public folders in your Exchange 2013, Exchange 2016, or Exchange 2019 environment, make sure you have finished the steps list below.

Yes, I had gone thru that guide, but as Andy pointed out above "In addition, users whose mailboxes are in Exchange Online won't be able to access on-premises public folders using Outlook Web App or Outlook on the web." I think it might be helpful to have that fact highlighted a bit more as I somehow skipped over it until it was pointed out later. It really fools you when the PF calendar shows up as an option in the OWA calendar.
