Can't remove List column from template

Yesterday I started a new Microsoft List using the Recruitment Tracker list template. I've customized the columns how we want except for the "Resume or CV" attachment column which I can't seem to remove. It doesn't show up in the list settings under columns. I have hidden it from the All Items view, but when you click to add a new item you still see it at the bottom of that form. If I make the column show in the All Items view and try to edit the column so I can delete it the Edit option is missing.

Anyone know why I can't delete this column?

    Hi @Klish, Brian ,

    Per my understanding, hiding this column in this view is only valid in this view.

    Actually very easy to understand. View is just a way of displaying, it does not change the real attributes of the list, or in other words, it only acts on the scope of this view.

    You could create different views and display columns according to your actual needs, these views use different columns, you need all the information for all views to display.
    Hiding is not the same as deleting. In other words, you hide this column from the view, it still exists. The item you created will also be displayed in other views.

    =======================================

    For the general column, if you don't want this column,then you could delete it, which also means that it does not exist, you cannot use it any further. For Attachment column , SP has also made Disable settings for you to choose.

    For example when I hide the LinkedIn profile column from All Items view, we cannot see it in this view any more:

    You will still find it when you create a new item:
    83118-2.jpg

    ==========================

    After I deleting the column in List settings>Columns, it disappears:

    @Elsie Lu_MSFT - Thanks for your response. I'm fully aware of what views are and that columns can normally be deleted. The only way we have found to delete this particular column is to disable all attachments in this SharePoint List (as suggested above). This "Resume or CV" column does not show up under the List Settings and so it cannot be directly deleted by itself as far as I can tell. If you can show me how to do that I would be grateful.

    You can hide it from list settings.

    1. On list settings page under general settings click Advanced settings
    2. Under Attachments section select Disabled.
    3. Click Ok

    After this you won't see the attachment column.

    Yeah I guess that works. If I had another Attachment column doing that would also break that one too though. I'd really like to know where that "Resume or CV" column is actually defined. I can't find it anywhere. Your workaround is good enough for my purposes, but I'm still curious...
