I am trying to find a way to remove the following when a user logs into the domain servers.

  1. Remove search bar – hide it
  2. Remove Cortana button
  3. Remove Task View button
  4. Remove Microsoft store icon

I'm sure it can be done but I haven't found a great way to do it. Can it be done through a GPO?

Also, on a new Windows 10 Pro install, is there any way to bypass all those useless questions that are first asked when a user logs in to a newly prepped PC. My users are always asking me what I should answer so I've created a short document advising them to choose the defaults because the GPO's will disable them anyway. I would just like to find a way to disable those questions so that the users can log straight in and start working.

    Hi,
Yes, as you said, these could be done. But some issue need to modify registry, then deploy with GPO. Another could be done by using GPO or some only could be modify by Registry. So depending on the version of your system, I suggest it's best to search related GPO settings or Registry by yourself.
Based on my search, some information below may be helpful.
For 1 and 3 issue, we could check for the information below.
    https://thecomputerperson.wordpress.com/2016/01/22/turning-off-the-cortana-search-box-and-task-view-via-group-policy/
    For 2 issue, https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/124150-hide-show-cortana-button-taskbar-windows-10-a.html
For 4 issue, User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Start Menu and Taskbar\Do not allow pinning Store app to the Taskbar".
You mentioned that some questions display after installing new Windows10, do you want to skip the OOBE screen?
You could try the GPO or Registry.
