How does the Load Balancer work with IPv6?

Please explain in depth all of the information regarding it as you possibly can. I mean, is it NAT:ing, if so, why?
How does outbound traffic work though it? Why is it required for IPv6 connectivity? Why can't we assign PUBLIC IPv6 addresses to Virtual Machines?

@samip537-6171, Apologies for the delay in response. IPv6 public address for VM IP configuration is not yet supported in Azure. To reach the private IPV6 address on a VM then there should be a BLB or SLB with IPV6 configuration Infront of that VM for NATting the IPV6 traffic. The IPv6 Internet client cannot communicate directly with the IPv6 address of the VMs. Also, NAT64 is not supported for now.
During outbound connection to a public Internet IPv6-connected device, the VM's source IPv6 address is network address translated (NAT) to the public IPv6 address of the load balancer.
