Teams - "Meet Now" link expiry time

Hi,

I would need a (Teams) link that does not expire. I need to insert this link in a public document, but I can't change it every time.

So I creates a url shortner, with the ability to change the url destination, that is to say the Teams link.

Few days ago I created a "Meet now" link and I insert it in my short url. I used it immediatly.

So I just tested it again today. And the Teams link is still working despite the information I found in this doc :

The "Meet now" link should expire after 8 hours.

Do you have any information about the real expiration date. I don't want/need to recreate a link each time, so if it lasts several days it will be perfect.

What is your meeting type?

I check this in Meet now meeting and found the meeting link didn’t expire after 8 hours. This problem also happens on Regular meeting.

We will work on this problem. Any update I will share with you here.

Hi,

If "Meet now" link does not expire it is great for me ! Or at least with a refresh period every 60 days as it seems to be for other links.

We need a permanent link when we have a demo for external people. Our sale send always the same documentation with a permanent link inside. For now it is a short url because we thought we had to change its destination every day which is very boring. So don't change anything for now ;-) !

This is by design.

Now, the official document updates the information of meeting expiration as below:

The expiration date is for the meeting settings and policies, not the meeting link.
